THE CAPE STORY

A very Happpppy New year to all you lovely people out there!!! 😀

Still can’t believe its finally 2015 and here is my first post for the year. 2014 has just passed by in a jiffy, giving me so many amazing experiences. Blame it on this part of the year when you have parties almost everyday or my love for dressing up (something I have loved doing ever since I was 4 😉 ) , I have recently been a bit obsessed with the color oxblood and capes.

Usually this time is all about wearing sequins, foils, embellishments or anything blingy (Btw, my NYE was a pyjama party 😀 😉 )! On a particular evening, for a casual night-out I chose my latter obsession- a KNITTED GREY CAPE!!! The fact that I have a petite body type, the first thing that came to my mind was a big NO for trying this trend for fall. Quite Obivious, right ??? But, as you know, I love experimenting with new trends, I definitely had to give this raging trend a try!! 🙂

So, for my night out cape look, I styled this grey knitted cape which has cute side pockets, with a not so basic- basic black round neck tee with lace detailing neck-line and a dark blue ripped denim which I had rolled up from the bottom, to give that androgynous casual look. To add an edginess to my otherwise dull outfit, I had my scarlet red belt and gold accessories on- long chain worn as a double layer choker chain, watch, cuff rings and round toe pumps!! As for my hair, I kept my waves loose and wavy to compliment the look!

I feel so happy to try this cape trend, and I absolutely love how comfy and stylish it looks! Since, this was my first casual cape outing, I had to share my look with you all! Hope you all liked the look, as much as I loved pulling it off!! This look can be worn for a day out with your girlies, coffee outings, movie nights or any other casual night-outs!! 😀
